All the Kloof Schools originally were birthed out of the Kloof Government school which was established in 1926 and resided in the buildings of the now Kloof Pre-Primary school.
KPP is a pre-primary school focusing on learners from 12 months to Grade R. They have been operating as a pre-school since 1972 out of their current premises.
KJP is a junior primary school from Grade R to Grade 3. The school moved into its current premises in 1969.
KSP is a senior primary school from Grade 4 to Grade 7. In 1959, KSP was established in its current premises.
KHS is a high school from Grade 8 to Matric. The high school moved into its current premises in 1960.
All the schools are co-educational, teaching both girls and boys. The 4 schools are all based in Kloof in a 2.5 km radius of each other. They are public/government schools.
They are a family of schools that supports each other yet operates independently to meet the needs of the ages of the children they teach. Each school is passionate about their learners, and they strive to allow everyone the chance to pursue their passions in academics, sports or cultural activities. The teaching and coaching staff in each school provide a supportive family environment and come alongside each learner to provide the guidance they need to thrive in their schooling career.
They desire that when an individual enters KPP, they see potential for a great academic future in all of the schools and no parent questions the progress of their child through the 4 schools. They want them to progress easily and with passion from KPP through to KHS.
Family values such as respect, integrity, courage, honour and responsibility are reinforced in each class, school assembly and in their extra-mural programmes. By doing this, the schools create learners who will become responsible members of society one day.
